Shopping in June? What a month for it. From Father’s Day to early Fourth of July sales, our readers had plenty of reasons to stock up last month on all sorts of products, especially ones that help make backyard cookouts and important family events even more worthwhile.
For smart shoppers, just hearing that something is good and interesting isn’t always enough. Nope, sometimes it helps to know that other people are buying it too. Here at Reviewed, we’re constantly reporting on the best sales and price drops, in addition to testing and reviewing all the top products online. Whether you’re shopping at Anthropologie or another major retailer, we get the skinny on everything good to buy so you can grab it too.
Love knowing what everyone else has been buying? (It’s addictive, I know.) Here are the 25 most popular things our readers bought in June, which can help give you a little inspiration this July, especially ahead of Prime Day.
1. This inexpensive knife sharpener
When I moved into my first grown-up apartment, I treated myself to a set of mid-range (but fancy for me) kitchen knives. Over the years, these knives don’t look like much, but they’re still as sharp as ever, thanks to this knife sharpener from KitchenIQ. It was the single most popular pick our readers grabbed in June, and considering it’s just $6 and can restore dull, damaged blades to their former glory, I’d say that our readers made a smart call.
Get the KitchenIQ 50009 Edge Grip 2-Stage Knife Sharpener on Amazon for $5.43
2. This speaker that’s also a smart device
Thanks to an awesome deal that ran on B&H in June, our readers were able to snag this incredible speaker on sale for a nice discount. What’s great about the Sonos One? For starters, everything. It emits crisp volume but it also doubles as a voice-controlled smart device, making it similar to the Amazon Echo in that way (but far superior in sound quality). While that deal isn’t available anymore, you can still grab this speak on Amazon for a decent price.
Get the Sonos One (Gen 1) Voice-Controlled Smart Speaker on Amazon for $179
3. The best pillows to catch a few winks
Lumpy pillows are the worst, and I don’t know about you, but I have trouble sleeping through the night if my pillow isn’t just right. When it comes to getting a better night’s sleep, the best bed pillows we’ve ever tested can really do the trick because you can adjust the level of “stuffing” they have, so no matter what, it’s always to your liking. Even better, the memory foam will mold to fit your head and the bamboo cover offers decent ventilation. Seriously, it’s no surprise our readers loved them in June.
- Get the Xtreme Comforts Hypoallergenic Bed Pillow for Side Sleepers on Amazon for $49.99
- Get the Xtreme Comforts Hypoallergenic Shredded Memory Foam Pillow for Sleeping, Back, Side & Stomach Sleepers (King Size) for $59.99
4. Our favorite affordable flashlight
Summer means hikes and evenings by a campfire, but when that light goes out and you need to shine your way through the dark, you need a flashlight that you can rely on. This Anker flashlight was on sale in June and our readers jumped on it—for a good reason. It has 900 lumens, is fully USB rechargeable, and zooms in, so you can see things very clearly. Whether you’re in the great outdoors or just going for a late-night stroll, this flashlight is great to have in reach. Since Anker products often go on sale, there’s a good chance you’ll see it drop in price again soon. In the meantime, it’s still a good addition to any Amazon order you’re already making.
Get the Anker Super Bright Tactical Flashlight on Amazon for $25.19
5. The best electric and manual can openers
Ever tried to open a can of soup with a knife? Trust me, you don’t want to be a part of that scene at all. Instead, it pays to have a can opener (or two or three) on hand. In June, our readers were all about the best electric can opener and our favorite manual can opener. And since both of them are under $20, it’s definitely the kind of investment that you can afford to stock up on.
- Get the EZ-DUZ-IT Deluxe Can Opener with Black Grips on Amazon for $11
- Get the Cuisinart CCO-50BKN Deluxe Electric Can Opener (Black) on Amazon for $16.49
6. This cult-favorite skincare mask
I’m a bit of a skincare nut. I’ll try almost any new face mask I can get my hands on, provided it’s also soothing on sensitive skin (which I unfortunately have). This Aztec Clay Mask is one of those legendary Amazon finds that really does manage to live up to the hype. It has more than 15,000 reviews on the site, and while that’s not necessarily always a predictor for how good something will be once you try it out at home, in the case of this mask, yeah. It kind of is.
Get the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay on Amazon for $14.95
7. This incredibly practical electronic scale
With its bright LCD backlit screen and easy-to-read design, this electronic scale is kind of perfect when it comes to figuring out just how heavy your luggage actually is. And truthfully, you might be able to put it to use in other ways as well, since it’s designed to latch onto bags, suitcases, and frankly anything else that might be able to support its frame. Our readers really flocked to this product in June, which to me says one thing: it’s summer vacation season, baby.
Get the Dr. Meter Electronic Balance Digital Postal Luggage Hanging Scale for $8.99
8. The only pillow massager you’ll ever need
Look, life is hard. When I’m not chained to a desk writing all the time, there’s a pretty good chance that I’m driving somewhere to go do more writing. Or, in lieu of that, going to sit at a restaurant or bar. All that sitting does damage on the body over time, and it manifests in the form of aches and pains. This little pillow massager—a Gold Box deal on Amazon for a time in June—gets the job done, meaning it can relieve tension from all those weird little muscle pains that are your body’s sign it’s getting older (and you need to hit a yoga mat or something).
Get the Zyllion Back and Neck Shiatsu Pillow Massager for $49.95
9. A really good electric screwdriver
I can’t profess to be the handiest person around. But after I spent a few months working retail at The Home Depot immediately after college, I learned one very valuable lesson (besides the fact that retail sucks). Everyone should have an electric screwdriver. Seriously, they’re just an easier way to take the stress and all the grr out of home improvement projects. The best electric screwdriver we’ve ever tested is the Dremel GO-01, and sure enough, our readers really loved it in June. Summer is the best season for crossing all those fix-it projects off your to-do list, after all. (That’s another thing I learned at Big Orange.)
Get the Dremel GO-01 Powered Cordless Electric Screwdriver Set for $39.97
10. A meat thermometer
Grilling is a way of life when temperatures start to heat up. You know it, I know it, and chances are your dad absolutely knows it because he’s the one who insists on busting out the big steaks and the corn on the cob whenever you’re coming over for dinner. For Father’s Day, tons of our readers went with a present they knew Pops would love: a meat thermometer. The [best meat thermometers] are all from Thermoworks, and it’s no surprise that some of their most popular options—including the DOT, ThermoPop, and Thermapen Mk4—sold so well in June. Bonus points are in order, because giving your father a good meat thermometer means you’ll get better grub, too.
- Get the Thermoworks ThermoPop for $34.00
- Get the Thermoworks Thermapen Mk4 for $99
- Get the Thermoworks ChefAlarm for $64
- Get the Thermoworks DOT for $43
11. These natural wool dryer balls
When it comes to cutting drying your time in half, you could pray to the laundry gods (don’t worry, all they want is your socks), or you could just buy these wool dryer balls. Our reads absolutely love them and the way they seem to naturally hasten along the time it takes to fully dry clothes. Chances are, you’ve been doing your laundry wrong for years, but thanks to these dryer balls, at least your clothes will come out softer this time.
*We are currently testing dryer balls and have yet to find any definitive proof that they have any impact on drying times, but what’s the harm in doing some experimenting of your own?

12. Clothing, accessories, and home decor at Anthropologie
Anthropologie is one of our favorite retailers on the planet, and luckily, they run great deals often. In June, Anthro ran a gigantic Summer Tag Sale and our readers were able to save up to 70% off on a number of their best products, including the beloved Capri Blue Candle, this stunning Waisted Cupro dress, this Kiana Mosley Monogram Trinket Dish, and more.
Shop Anthropologie for stylish clothing and decor
13. The best coffee maker money can buy
Is it frugal to buy a coffee maker that costs close to $300? No, clearly it is not. But if you’re on the hunt for a coffee maker that truly is crème de la crème, this is the best drip coffee maker that money—in this case a small fortune—could possibly buy you. There was a terrific deal on this device on Drop in June, which unfortunately is over now, but you can add it to your Amazon wishlist now and hope it goes on sale for Prime Day (it might!).
Get the Technivorm Moccamaster KBS on Amazon for $289
14. A soundbar for better sound quality
How good is the volume on your TV actually? With most modern TVs, the right answer is not very. If you find that you’re constantly cranking up the volume just to hear what’s happening on Big Little Lies, it might be time to upgrade to a soundbar, the same way that so many of our readers did during the month of June. Bar none, it’s the best soundbar under $200 that we’ve ever tried.
Get the Polk Audio Signa S2 Ultra-Slim Universal TV Sound Bar on Amazon for $149
15. These popular robot vacuums
A few years back, my sister was complaining to me about her husband, who kept begging her for a robot vacuum for their apartment.
“He just wants one because it reminds him of a toy and it means he doesn’t have to do chores,” she’d griped.
Well, now that I know robot vacuums better, I wish I could go back in time and tell her she was absolutely right—and that’s absolutely the reason why you should buy one. Here at Reviewed, we kind of specialize in being robot vacuum hype dudes. If you’re like my sis and you think they’re just a way to dodge chores, you’re exactly right. And you know what? You’re going to love it.

- Get the eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S MAX on Amazon for $199.99
16. The preferred choice in noise-canceling headphones
Oh, these? These headphones here are just the best noise-canceling headphones you can find today. Our readers went crazy over a deal on them that Drop ran in June, and even Bose QC35II lover Isabelle Kagan had to admit this deal was too good to pass up. The feature that made her admit Bose maybe isn’t the only game in town anymore? These Sonys let you customize the noise cancelation to your exact specifications. Take it from her—life’s too short to waste it listening to music with bad headphones.
Get the Sony WH1000XM3 Noise-Canceling Headphones on Amazon for $348
17. An easy-to-use avocado slicer
You love avocado, but does it love you back? Sure, it tastes great, but slicing it up can be a real pain unless you have a little gadget like this that can make short work of all that tough skin and take out the pits. Making guac for the Fourth will be a lot easier with this bad boy, and I suspect our readers felt the same way in June.
Get the OXO Good Grips 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer on Amazon for $9.99
18. A delightful snap-on strainer
In all my years of putting together lists of weird stuff that other people should buy, never have I ever come across a whose-it that I adore more just on principle than this adorable snap-on strainer from Kitchen Gizmo. (Well, okay, I take that back, I also love the Kitchy Pizza Wheel.) This handy gadget is made of silicone, it fits on most bowls and pots, and it is so much less of a space-eater than a traditional colander.
Get the Kitchen Gizmo Snap ‘N Strain Strainer on Amazon for $11.95
19. This mat for drying all the dishes
My countertops get cluttered quickly when I’ve been doing dishes, and it can be aggravating stopping to dry all my bowls and plates in in the middle of a wash. Many of our readers opted for this mat, which gives you a place to put dripping, clean dishes so you don’t end up with a slip ‘n’ slide countertop.
Get the Sorbus Roll-Up Dish Drying Rack on Amazon for $21.99
20. These jar grips that are seriously great
Forget all the pulling and tugging—with these jar grips, you can actually open tight jars pretty easily. Perfect especially for those with arthritis or other gripping problems, these are a much better alternative than, say, bashing at the lid with a butter knife, just for example. It seems weird that something so basic could be so clutch, but this set really is, and at this cheap price tag, you can probably afford to “splurge.”
Get the Prepworks by Progressive Jar Grips on Amazon for $3.45
21. A scalp massager for getting rid of build-up
If you have dandruff, listen up: this scalp massager truly is a great solution for your flaky-haired woes. Speaking as someone who has fought the good fight herself and now has flake-free dark hair thanks to this exact brush, I do declare it is a winner in the fight against buildup. Readers made a big grab for this in June, and that makes sense, since the hot weather tends to leave your skin drier than usual. Do yourself a favor, fellow dandruff-having friends. Buy this little palm-sized massager brush and get ready for flake-free glory.
Get the FReatech Wet & Dry Hair Scalp Massager on Amazon for $6.98

Remember when I said that I was a skincare junkie? These super-affordable facial masks helped kick off some of that obsession. With close to 4,000 reviews on Amazon right now, this set of 16 facial masks is totally perfect for parties, for personal use—you name it. Even better? You can get the whole set for under $11. Even if you don’t want to use every mask yourself, that’s a tremendous value to get on top of having more radiant skin.

23. The best affordable and portable Bluetooth speaker
You can kick off your summer block party in the most awesome way possible with the best cheap portable Bluetooth speakers, just like our readers did in June. Inexpensive yet totally durable and easy to use, this speaker is also a great buddy to keep around for camping trips and other outdoor excursions. And it is supposed to go on sale ahead of Prime Day!
Get the Anker Soundcore 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker for $31.99
24. The drain protector to end all drain protectors
Ah, the TubShroom. Personally, I don’t want to spend a lot of my time comparing or thinking about drain protectors. But that’s not because I don’t appreciate their value—it’s because my drain met its forever soulmate/protector a long time ago: the TubShroom. If your drain is an icky mess and you’re constantly pulling your own hair out of it, or worse your roommates’ (ew), just stop, proceed directly to Amazon, and do the dang thing already, okay?
Get the TubShroom the Revolutionary Tub Drain Protector on Amazon for $12.99
