Talk about mudslinging.
Thousands of athletes splashed through the mud this weekend in obstacle course races in Lake Elsinore in a two-day crowd-pleasing event that concluded Sunday, Nov.4.
The CELSIUS-sponsored Tough Mudder SoCal at The Diamond stadium featured races that were 10 miles, 5 miles and 5 kilometers long.
“There are a lot of different obstacles that are pretty cool,” said Jasmine Castillo, Tough Mudder operations manager.
As an example she cited something called the “Block Ness monster” — large blocks floating in water that required teams to work closely together to scale.
It was the third year the event was staged in Lake Elsinore, Castillo said.
