Trustpilot moves into Edinburgh city centre offices

Trustpilot is rapidly expanding its Scottish operation with a move to new offices in Edinburgh city centre.

The consumer reviews platform already has offices in New York, London, Copenhagen, Vilnius and Melbourne. It is now taking 9,283 sq ft of space on the third floor of the Grade A listed 28 St Andrew Square.

Founded in 2007, Trustpilot now hosts more than 120 million reviews of 530,000 business domains globally.

Carolyn Jameson, chief trust officer at Trustpilot, said: “Having only launched our new R&D and Innovation Hub in June of 2020, we’re rapidly expanding our presence as we continue to bring in the very best technology talent that Edinburgh and Scotland has to offer, especially in the areas of data science and analytics.

“Our new Edinburgh location is the perfect location to develop new, world-leading technology as we continue to promote and protect trust online. We look forward to our teams enjoying the new space once the guidance suggests it’s safe to do so.”

Stewart McMillan, partner at letting agents Cushman & Wakefield, acting on behalf of Virgin Money which is sub-letting the building, explained: “The accommodation was taken with the benefit of high-quality fit-out in situ, an increasing trend we are observing as occupiers are attracted to the flexibility such opportunities offer.”

Chris Cuthbert, director at CuthbertWhite, which advised TrustPilot, added: “After a thorough search of the market we were very pleased to have secured the top floor of 28 St Andrew Square for Trustpilot – it is going to provide them with an excellent springboard for their growth in the city which is fast becoming a hot spot for the burgeoning technology sector.”
