ULEZ rule changes: Not even electric cars will be free as huge changes coming – Express

However, from December 25, 2025 the cleaner vehicle discount will be scrapped, meaning all drivers will have to pay the daily charge in the capital.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has widened the ULEZ zone so it will now stretch from the North Circular to the South Circular, but the ULEZ plan was first proposed by Boris Johnson during his tenure as London Mayor.

The ULEZ expansion means drivers of the “most pollutant” vehicles will have to pay a £12.50 daily charge for driving within London’s ULEZ.
