Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were mixed at the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Dubai, the fell 0.83%, while the index climbed 0.12%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:), which rose 4.71% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.780 at the close. Deyaar Development PJSC (DU:) added 2.07% or 0.009 points to end at 0.444 and Damac Properties Dubai Co PSC (DU:) was up 1.49% or 0.030 points to 2.050 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Arabtec Holding PJSC (DU:), which lost 3.59% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.880 in late trade. Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:) declined 3.25% or 0.020 points to end at 0.595 and AJMAN BANK PJSC (DU:) shed 3.00% or 0.030 points to 0.970.

The top performers on the ADX General were Sharjah Cement AD (AD:) which rose 2.04% to 1.000, International Holding Company PJSC (AD:) which was up 1.69% to settle at 1.20 and Waha Capital (AD:) which gained 1.61% to close at 1.890.

The worst performers were Rak Cement Co (AD:) which was down 5.14% to 0.683 in late trade, Abu Dhabi National for Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:) which lost 2.08% to settle at 0.470 and Rak Properties (AD:) which was down 1.78% to 0.607 at the close.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 13 fell and 8 advanced, while 6 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.10% or 0.08 to $76.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.17% or 0.15 to hit $86.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1202.60 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was unchanged 0.00% to 3.6730, while EUR/AED rose 0.20% to 4.2234.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 95.54.
