User complains about Ola S1 Pro quality. Here's what Bhavish Aggarwal replied

Ola boss Bhavish Aggarwal got into a feisty Twitter exchange with a user on Tuesday after the latter called out OlaElectric over deep battery discharge of his S1Pro e-bike.

“Tried powering up my S1 Pro yesterday. NOTHING happened! Called the Ola rep who sent a truck pronto to pick up my dead scooter. Shocking that a scooter less than 2months old &under 100km on odo should pack up like this. Smacks of the lax quality culture that plagues @OlaElectric,” Hormazd Sorabjee, a user -who is also an editor of a leading auto magazine – wrote on the microblogging website.

Replying to Sorabjee, the Ola CEO wrote: “Hormazd, while your tweet smacks of a strong bias, glad our service team solved this same day for you. Let’s see how many brands able to do this at scale. We’ve upgraded you to MoveOS 2 which solves the specific issue. Enjoy, commit to #EndICEage and don’t be afraid of change!!”

OlaElectric has find itself amid a row over fire incidents that triggered an uproar on social media and an investigation by the government.

The company, backed by Japan’s SoftBank Group, has recalled more than 1,400 e-scooters and appointed external experts to investigate the cause.

Earlier this month, Aggarwal announced purchase window for Ola’s electric scooters S1, S1Pro will open on May 21.

Current prices for the S1 and S1 Pro stand at Rs 85,099 and Rs 1,10,149, respectively (ex-showroom Delhi, after FAME-II and state subsidies).
