Gregoire Blanc of Vanguard
Vanguard has hired Lyxor’s Gregoire Blanc as senior ETF capital markets specialist.
Reporting to Thomas Bartolacci, head of ETF capital markets, Europe, at Vanguard, Blanc will be responsible for supporting the liquidity of the firm’s ETF range and helping clients achieve their desired outcomes.
Blanc joined Lyxor in 2009 as an ETF broker before being promoted to head of ETF capital markets in December 2012. He started his career at BNP Paribas.
Vanguard’s Thomas Merz, head of distribution, Europe ex-UK, said: “We are very focused on expanding our ETF client support and product offering across Europe.
“Gregoire brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will help our team ensure clients get the best possible trading experience, and achieve the lowest possible trading costs, when buying and selling ETFs.”
This is the firm’s lastest appointment after Investment Week revealed Vanguard had hired ETF Securities’ head of UK wealth and Spain Liz Wright as a senior ETF sales specialist in April.
In May, Investment Week also revealed the firm was planning to launch a short-dated US dollar corporate bond ETF.
