Our men’s basketball program added to its extraordinary start to the season by emphatically defeating Oregon State in Corvallis by 25 points in its Pac-12 opener. The win over the Beavers highlighted our team’s high scoring, energetic style of play as Bennedict Mathurin lead all players with 29 points on an efficient 11-of-18 shooting from the field, including a series of SportsCenter Top 10 dunks. Benn won Pac-12 Player of the Week for his performance against the Beavers and became the second Wildcat to win the award this season, following Christian Koloko’s win two weeks prior.

Arizona is No. 11 in this week’s AP poll and have solidified their position atop the national rankings. The Wildcats entered this week as the nation’s leader in scoring offense (91.3 ppg), scoring margin (+32.0 ppg) and assists per game (23.0 apg) while ranking in the top-10 nationally in a variety of other stats.

Arizona Women’s Basketball matched its highest national ranking in program history, checking in at No. 6 in this week’s AP poll with an impressive 7-0 start. Arizona Volleyball’s postseason run came to an official end over the weekend at the NIVC after opening the tournament with a win over UTRGV for the program’s first postseason win since 2016. A home record of 12-6 and a young core of all-conference honorees in Coach Rubio’s 30th season have set the stage for more outstanding chapters in the program’s record book.

Congratulations to our student-athletes, coaches and staff for their accomplishments this season and for representing the Block A with pride and distinction this season. The future is bright for our volleyball program, and we can’t wait to catch them back in action.
