SPARTA, NJ – The Sussex County Technical High School varsity bowling team brought home the hardware this season. They finished the regular season 15-0. While that is notable their list of accomplishments continued.
The Mustangs won the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex championship for the fourth year with Joey Steele their top scorer for the day. At Sparta Lanes, Steele put up 714 to help bring the trophy back to Sussex Tech. The team’s final score was 2,909.
The Falcon Frenzy tournament trophy was Tech’s as well.
They also won the NJSIAA North 1A Group 2 Sectional. In the sectional event Sussex Tech had the highest team pin total for the event held at Bowlero in North Brunswick.
This was the Mustangs’ sixth consecutive sectional title, earning trip number 10 to the state team tournament.
