The upcoming Xiaomi Mi CC9 which is all set to be unveiled on July 2 has been the subject to a number of rumours and leaks for some days now. Xiaomi is gearing to launch two variants which will be named CC9 and CC9e. It was first rumoured that the smartphone will arrive with a flip camera which is similar to the recently launched Asus 6z. Now, in the latest news, Xiaomi has confirmed that the primary camera on the triple camera setup will get 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor.
The Chinese smartphone major had earlier dropped that the CC9 would arrive with a 32-megapixel camera. We had earlier reported about Xiaomi bringing the CC9 and the CC9e to the market but instead, Xiaomi only launched the name series while the smartphones, according to the latest announcement, will be launched on July 2. The confirmation of the launch date was made via a post on Xiaomi’s Weibo profile. The post also provided an invite to the event which will take place in Beijing, China.
There is not much in the wind regarding the CC9 model from Xiaomi, however, we can at least expect to see a phone with a triple camera at the rear panel and accompanied by the Xiaomi X Meitu collaboration with a flip mechanism for the three cameras, similar to the Asus 6z which was recently launched in the Indian market.
The Xiaomi Mi CC9e, on the other hand, is anticipated to be powered by a Snapdragon 712 SoC under the hood. The CC9 has been touted to pack a beefy 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. In terms of optics, the CC9 range is slated to sport a 32MP selfie snapper, a 48MP main camera combined with an ultrawide and telephoto. Additionally, a recent TENAA listing had hinted of a waterdrop notch display and a triple rear camera setup.
