Apple March Event 2024: After launching its first spatial computer, the Vision Pro, Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch new products, including a much-anticipated iPad Pro featuring an OLED panel, and a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air next month. The company is also planning to unveil 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the M3 chip during its March event.

According to Apple analyst Mark Gurman, the company will reveal these products around the end of March. As per DigiTimes, the price increase for the new iPad Pro models with OLED screens might not be as high as some early reports suggested. Initially, there were predictions that the next-gen 11-inch OLED iPad Pro could start at $1,500 and the 13-inch model at $1,800, with some even speculating up to $2,000 for the larger model, possibly for higher storage options.

However, DigiTimes suggests the increase might be around $160, which is lower than previously expected. We can the price hike because Apple is using OLED panels in iPads for the first time. These panels are pricier than LCD ones. Apple’s unique thin design needs special OLED panels, which adds to the cost. Despite the higher price, OLED screens last longer, are more efficient and can be brighter. Apple is getting these OLED panels from Samsung and LG Display, who are making them specifically for Apple.
