Farmers Protest Live News Updates: The Haryana government extended the suspension of mobile internet and bulk SMS services in seven districts until February 20, in response to the ongoing ‘Delhi Chalo’ agitation by farmers. The districts affected include Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad, and Sirsa, as stated in the government’s order.

This extension follows previous suspensions on February 13, 15, and 17. The ‘Delhi Chalo’ movement, led by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, aims to exert pressure on the Centre for various demands, such as a minimum support price (MSP) law for crops and loan waivers.

Protesting farmers, numbering in the thousands, remain encamped at the Shambhu and Khanauri points on the Punjab-Haryana border, persistently advocating for their rights. Despite attempts to march to Delhi from Punjab, they were halted by security personnel at the Shambhu and Khanauri points, where they have since maintained their presence.
