Hyundai, Tesla, BMW models among cars recalled in US. Here's why



The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recalled leading car brands due to concerns over various safety issues. These brands include cars manufactured by Hyundai, Tesla and BMW. Individuals can check the database maintained by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on whether their vehicle has been recalled or not. The users will need to keep their Vehicle Identification Number or VIN ready before checking the database, as per a report on USA Today.

Over 2409 vehicles of the company’s 2021-2023 E-Pace model vehicles are being recalled as a report suggests that airbags in the cars may tear during actual use. In such a scenario, the airbags will not function effectively. Hot gases can escape the airbag and burn the passengers.

BMW
Over 5761 vehicles of 2104-2015 models are being recalled due to ruptured airbags. An inflated airbag may lead to ruptures causing metal elements to enter and exit vehicles, which may lead to further injuries during a crash.

The company has announced that these will be replaced free of cost and they are in the process of mailing the customers, all the details.

Hyundai
The company is replacing over 31,440 of its 2022-2023 Genesis vehicles. The reason being attributed is a potential fuel pump failure resulting is loss of drive power which may further lead to a crash.
