Jaipur Rugs collaborates with Archdais for store design competition



Jaipur Rugs, on Monday, announced its collaboration with Archdais, a platform for architectural and interior design competitions, for a design and build competition. This competition invites architects and interior designers to showcase their ingenuity by crafting bespoke interiors for the forthcoming Jaipur Rugs Flagship Store in India.

The competition aims to design interiors that exalt the heritage, craftsmanship, and exclusivity of Jaipur Rugs. Participants are encouraged to prioritise open, spacious environments that accentuate the rugs’ beauty, with particular emphasis on lighting and innovative display techniques.

Yogesh Chaudhary, Director of Jaipur Rugs, said in a statement, “We are eager to witness how designers will encapsulate the essence of our brand, creating spaces that forge a profound emotional connection with visitors.”

Rushikesh Kothari, spokesperson for Archdais, said in a statement, “We are honoured to collaborate with Jaipur Rugs for this prestigious competition. With an esteemed jury panel and a record number of registrations, we anticipate witnessing innovative designs that redefine retail experiences.”

The jury panel comprises of players in the design and architectural space, including Rutvi Chaudhary, Director of Jaipur Rugs; Abin Chaudhari, Abin Design Studio; Mrudul Pathak Kundu, Editor, Elle Décor India; and Saleem Bhatri, Director, Case Design, Casegoods.

Registration for the competition closes on April 15, 2024, with the submission deadline on April 18. The award ceremony is scheduled for the third week of May 2024.
