MultiVersus, the free fighting game of Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games that ended its open beta last year is set to return with its first season of new content. After two full seasons of new content and characters gave the appearance that it has already moved into its full release, the announcement is coming as a surprise to many.

The game features a diverse character set up with some added characters like Joker and Jason Voorhees, according to a ScreenRant report.

Multiverses Season 1: The latest updates?

Season 1 of the game introduces new currency systems and enhanced perks to improve gameplay, with free rewards for returning players to the game. Multiverses boasts of a sorted set of characters that can be used by players to enter the ring the likes of which include Black Adam, Gizmo and Stripe from Gremlins, Rick & Morty, and Looney Tunes’ Marvin the Martian were included in the MultiVersus beta’s first and second seasons.

MultiVersus returns with its new season on May 28 this year, according to ‘Screen Rant’. A post on the MultiVersus site has made it abundantly clear that both returning and new players will be able to earn a ton of in-game rewards if they sign in with a WB account they had previously.

MultiVersus was supposed to be the answer of Warner Bros Games against the likes of Super Smash Bros. It followed the formula where fighting sequences happened inspired by different IPs owned by the company,
