These HDFC Bank services will not be available on these days due to scheduled downtime


HDFC Bank has informed its customers, via email, that due to a scheduled downtime for necessary system maintenance and upgrades , certain services won’t be available.

According to the HDFC Bank email sent to customers, “As part of our ongoing commitment to offering you the best banking experience, we will be conducting necessary system maintenance and upgrades. While we carry out these improvements, there will be a few short periods (as per details shared below) where some of our services will not be available.”

HDFC Bank customers view balance and other services on Whatsapp by registering and following simple steps.

Step 1. Register
Send “Hi” or “Register” in WhatsApp from your bank-registered mobile number to 7070022222 and you will be directed through the registration procedure. Save the Chat Banking number 7070022222 in your contacts. Enter the last 4 digit customer ID and a one-time password that you received via SMS to your registered mobile number.

Step 2: Select from options
Once you register, you will get the below option to choose.

  • Account Services
  • Credit card Services
  • Apply for Products
  • More services

Step 3: To check balance, transactions and for other similar related transactions click on ‘Account Services’. Under the same, you will find the below services and more.

  • Balance Enquiry
  • Recent 7days Txns
  • Account statement

Note: If you have multiple accounts. Please input the last 4 digits of the account number for which the details are required.
Step 4: Click on services required.

Kotak Mahindra Bank
Recently, Kotak Mahindra Bank also informed that Kotak Bank Debit, Spendz Card services will be unavailable for a few hours on June 3 and 10, 2023 due to maintenance activity. The bank informed its customers via an email.

During this time, below mentioned services on your Kotak Bank Debit Card, Spendz Card & Gift Card will be temporarily unavailable:

  • Card Controls – Transaction amount limit modification & Transaction Activation or Deactivation
  • Card Blocking – Unblocking
  • Primary Account Change
  • Account Linking – Delinking
  • Request for a new Debit Card/Image Card
  • Card closure request
  • Registration for Tokenization & PIN re-generation
  • Card inquiry and verification
